This pumpkin was 440 pounds!!! WOW. Biggest pumpkin i've ever seen.
Patty cake with the pumpkin.
Just one day at grandma and grandpa's. She is really loving the "doggies" and gets all excited any time she is around one or hears one. Sophie is really good with her.
ALWAYS chewing on shoes. Luckily these were brand new shoes so it wasn't a big deal.
Library time. We love spending time here even though she hates books and reading :( Someday she will love it, right? I am trying to read at least one whole book a day to her even though I have to hold her against her will to sit and read the whole thing.
The library is just one cool room to explore for her.
This melts my heart. I am glad that he could still see her. I love my grandpa (and grandma!).
Uncle Tony!
Her favorite toy ever. Ellie-fonte!
Her favorite food ever! Little snacker things...
We went to Waveland Park one day.
They had a little mini sized cabin there for her to explore - and a little fireplace inside. This was a pretty neat place. I am not sure the history - although I believe Daniel Boone is involved / relatives. We came just to play at the park.
This picture made me realize, also, that it was time to get her some new pants. She definitely has outgrown these!

Sort of creepy cemetery we unexpectedly found on our small hike back in the woods behind the mansion..
Her fav. and my fav. things to eat. Easy for us both. She drinks it like a bottle of milk!
Went to the mall one day for a "girls day out". Except I drug Josh along (literally drug!) haha!! Well he was a good camper, and had fun still. We were all tired by the end of it all because Izzy refuses to sleep in the car anymore and she was just a fussy butt.
But at least we got to go to the Disney store and color! Right? (haha)
This goober jumped in her basket to get her snackies.
Random cool american flag out of baseballs we saw at Red Robin. Roger Snell (Daddio) would like this.
Slap happy while we ate, and while she was drinking her milk!!
Josh and I went hiking at Taylorsville Lake - It was a PERFECT day. It was a wonderful hike, except for ONE THING. Apparently there were a group of kids that were being aloud to hunt the area for some charity and apprently there was a "big sign" that we should have seen upon entering into the park. That we didn't see. The reason we didn't see it was because it was brown, and not all that noticeable- and so like an hour and a half into our hike we heard some gun shots. We thought...how odd.... we started feeling a little antsy like we needed to walk faster. At one area we heard someone talking through the bushes (but we couldn't see them) they said " you shouldn't be here you will get a huge fine" or something...we were obviously getting a little freaked out at this point. So we kept walking faster and eventually we came to the road and luckily a ranger was right there and came and took us back to our car. He reprimanded us a little - but we honestly didn't even see any sign. Ahh...imbarrassing! Thank goodness we were okay...our luck!
There were fish jumping out of the water every where. Note to self. We must come back and go fishing here someday!
One day we went to Gaddie Town. I have never been here before (what have I been missing out on???) I've been looking for an all you can eat buffet that is comparable to the one we had in college (Craigos). This was such a good deal for the price and they even have a movie theatre, arcade, play area for kids. What a fun place. We will be coming back.
She's got guns!
We both LOVED this jumpy thing!! (maybe me more than her) but still. I can't wait till she is older and can play more. But I am definitely enjoying her now.
Having a kid helps you stay a kid yourself (well, if you let it). I am having a lot of fun being Mom. I try to find ways to stay sane throughout the week/month by getting out and doing fun things. It makes it all worth it to see her experience new things for the first time, and to see her grow and develop. We are so proud of her and all the growing she has done. It hasn't been easy for her - or for me. But it's getting easier in a lot of ways. I'm finding time to relax. I'm finally getting sort of a routine down, and keeping life organized. Better than it was.
We have a lot of things to figure out still. We have a lot of adult decisions to make here soon. So we are doing the best we can with what we have and will hope and pray that things continue to improve for us. Of coarse there will be challenges (that's a given) but at least I am learning to deal with things better. Thanking Heavenly Father for that...
Most importantly for the past week i've been getting better sleep. I feel more alive. And I actually feel like doing things I love doing again.
Life isn't always as pretty and happy as these pictures make it seem. These are just the highlights. But it's always best to focus more on the good than to just sit and stew over the bad. This is why I wanted to start a blog - help me focus and find the good in every day life.
