First shoes on a first child

Since Isabel has been taking tiny first steps lately, pushing her stroller & shopping cart around, and really close to walking we figured we would make our first trip to the store to buy our first child her first pair of shoes.

We didn't intend on buying her "boy" shoes. Except for the fact that all the shoes at Walmart & Kmart were too large, and didn't come in size 3's. The ones that were size 3 were all boy shoes. I didn't think it would be so difficult to find shoes for babies.

These grew on me...now I think they are adorable! Plus winter is just around the corner and nothing ever stays on her feet. I know these will keep her warm AND stay on her feet (if she doesn't grow out of them in 1 month).

She walked and walked and walked today. Everywhere. I should have taken a picture of her walking with the shopping cart. And then at home she kept going back and forth to every room in the house - inspecting everything in each room. She is growing more adventurous again I think because she has discovered a new found ability. I think she is finally getting tired of crawling.
And to be honest (I know everyone says I will regret it, and I probably will) but I am too!

We promised Izzy if she was good she could go outside and see the neighbors "doggies". She LOVES dogs.

Happy Fall. I love the changing seasons. Reminds me of this time last year when things were really about to change. It really has been one great adventure and one that I will never forget. I've grown so much and learned so much about life.
Because, I can't get over how cute these are on her. Little outdoorsy girl. Fits her personality. She is ready for an adventure.
 Playing with leaves.

 One more for good measure.

She fits right in to our family. She is such a goof ball. <3
